The Hogy Joe Shute Blue Max is rigged similarly to a pin rig for skirted ballyhoo but replaces the ballyhoo with a Hogy tuna tail (available seperately) as used on the Hogy Tuna Harness jig for extra action and is designed for trolling at 4 – 12 Knots.
With the 5 Ounce weighted Joe Shute Head, the Hogy combo tracks straight, even in heavy seas with either a Hogy tuna tail or a rigged deadbait.
The Blue Max has a deadly action that you really have to see to believe, the tail action combined with the pulsating skirt just seems to drive the tuna nuts. Try one on your next trip!
