Maruto 348 Mutsu hooks are popular with Australian and New Zealand anglers fishing for big snapper. These premium quality, fine wire, needle sharp, kirbed Japanese hooks are forged for extra strength and are suitable for live and dead bait fishing. The shape enables the hook to set when the fish turns away. High carbon steel for ultimate strength with black nickel finish for excellent corrosion resistance. This is a very versatile hook, UK anglers use the smaller sizes for cod, rays and other bottom species while the larger sizes are very popular with big catfish, tope and light tackle shark fishermen and we’ve caught striped marlin to over 200 lb on the 8/0 size.
